The Sleep Expo Middle East Conference, which runs alongside the co-located shows Adhesives, Sealants & Bonding Expo (ASB), and the Middle East Foam and Polyurethane Expo (MEFPU), is being organised with renewed focus for 2023.
The mattress and bedding industry is responding to changing consumer needs and preferences by developing innovative products that promote comfort, sustainability, customisation, and health and wellness. These emerging trends are likely to continue shaping the industry in the coming years. By investing in R&D, innovation and sustainability, manufacturers are meeting the changing needs of consumers and shaping the future of the industry.
We are pleased to announce the ‘Call for Papers’ for our upcoming Conference that brings together industry experts, researchers and professionals to share knowledge and discuss the latest advancements in the industry. We invite submissions of abstracts on a wide range of topics related to the mattress and bedding industry, including but not limited to:
- Advances in mattress design and manufacturing
- Innovations in mattress production and processing
- Improving sustainability in the mattress and bedding industry
- Exploring the role of smart technology in mattress and foam products
- Customisation and personalisation techniques in mattress and foam products
- Ergonomics and health benefits of foam and mattress products
- The role of sleep research in the mattress and bedding industry
- Fire safety standards and regulations for mattresses and foam products
- Testing and certification of mattress components and machinery
- Advancements in recycling and reusing foam and mattress products
- Foam and mattress industry supply chain and logistics optimisation
- Marketing and branding strategies for foam and mattress products
Submission Criteria
The criteria for selection of papers will include:
- Contribution to industry knowledge base - is this truly a significant advance?
- Timely and relevant topic - does the presentation address current or developing concerns among mattress and bedding industry professionals?
- Value - will the paper highlight real progress with long-term benefits?
- Objective – does the proposed speech offer a balanced and non-commercial perspective?
- Originality
Speech proposals that offer significant evidence-based developments in these respects have a far higher chance of being selected for inclusion on the programme. Speech proposals covering purely historical ground, with an overly narrow focus and those that are deemed too sales-driven in approach are likely to be rejected.
