Tempur-Pedic Just Released its First-Ever Bed-in-a-Bag Mattress, the TEMPUR-Cloud

Tempur-Pedic has been in the mattress game since 1992, but the customer-favorite brand had yet to dip its toes into the mattress-in-a-box industry—that is, until now, thanks to the recent launch of the brand’s new TEMPUR-Cloud mattress. With medium firmness and the brand’s signature memory foam, the Cloud has all the qualities you love in a Tempur-Pedic mattress rolled up into one easy-to-ship bed-in-a-bag.

The new mattress has three layers: a base layer of high-density premium foam for support and durability, then a firmer two-inch Tempur support layer (which adapts and conforms to your body and relieves pressure as you sleep), and then a one-inch Tempur comfort layer designed to cushion your body at every point and be softer and responsive. It’s all topped off with a “360-degree Stretch Cover”—a breathable, moisture-wicking knit cover to keep you cool throughout the night.

The TEMPUR-Cloud ranges in price from $1,699 for a twin or extra-long twin mattress to $1,899 for a full, $1,999 for a queen, and $2,399 for a king or California king. It’s a bit pricier than most other mattress-in-a-box options on the market, but it does come with a 90-night free trial, just in case. Which, by the way, you should use to its fullest before you make any decisions on returning your mattress. Tempur-Pedic’s vice president of new product development Allen Platek told House Beautiful that mattresses, like shoes, need to be broken in over time.

The mattresses are all made with sustainability in mind in Tempur-Pedic’s zero landfill waste manufacturing facility. And as an added perk, you can reuse the bag the mattress comes in—it’d work well as a spot to store extra bedding and pillows, corral yoga mats, or even to carry laundry in.
