Hassan Abbas Ali Al-Hazeem

Hassan Al-Hazeem is the Managing Director / CEO of Intercoil International, a position he assumed in 1999, when he succeeded his late father Mr. Abbas Ali AI-Hazeem, the founder of the UAE based, family owned business.
Under his leadership the company has become a leading manufacturer, distributor and retailer of total sleep solutions in the MENA region, with presence in 23 countries and manufacturing and distribution rights to premium global brands Simmons and Therapedic. Developing and implementing a highly focused strategic growth plan, Hasan Al-Hazeem is overseeing the expansion of the business into new markets and new verticals. Most recently, he opened a new state of the art manufacturing facility in Damam, KSA.

Hasan Al-Hazeem’s vision for Intercoil International is to contribute to the growth of the manufacturing sector in the UAE and proudly promote “MADE in the UAE” mark.
Prior to his role at Intercoil International, Mr. Al-Hazeem worked for the Commercial Bank of Dubai for four years. His tenure with CBD helped him acquire comprehensive experience in finance and banking, and an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the banking and credit system in the UAE.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science (University of Missouri-Kansas City, USA), and an MBA degree in International Business Administration (American University in Dubai).

Martin Bentz

Martin Bentz comes with 30 years of experience in the technical and functional textiles world. After starting his career with C.F. Ploucquet in 1991 where he was responsible for exports of specialty textiles and laminates, he started 2002 Outlast Europe with its temperature regulating fabrics as Managing Director Europe. In 2014 he took over global responsibility for Outlast.
As a native German, Martin has an MBA degree of the University of Heidenheim, Germany.

Sundaresan Shrinivasan

SRINIVASAN SUNDARESAN is a Chemical Engineer from BITS, Pilani with MBA and has gathered over 35 year of experience in Mattress Industry.
He had been the President of All India Coir Mattress Association for nearly 30 years.He was also a member of Coir Board, Govt. of India for 9 years.
He has been the Secretary of ISPF for the last 10 years and is associated with all activities of ISPF.
He has trained more than 3000 Retail Partners along with a Professional Trainer Company for Mattress Marketing.

Yaman Abazeed

Yaman graduated from the Jordan University of Science and Technology in 2006, earning a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Information Technology. His passion for knowledge and business administration led him to pursue a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree, which he successfully completed in 2012. Currently, Yaman is a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) candidate in the field of business sustainability, demonstrating his commitment to furthering his expertise and making a positive impact on the community and environment.

In pursuit of diversifying his professional portfolio, Yaman ventured into the mattress manufacturing industry, where he spent four years honing his skills and contributing to the growth of the business. This experience provided him with valuable insights into production processes, quality control, and supply chain management. Recognizing the importance of giving back to the community, Yaman has also been an active member of nonprofit organizations and business networks.

Recep Kütüklü

Recep Kütüklü, the Founder and Sales Director of Mattress Production, is a visionary engineer who seeks to revolutionize the mattress industry through the application of innovative technologies and raw materials. With a deep passion for solving the challenges faced by mattress manufacturers, Recep has gained extensive experience working with hundreds of mattress companies worldwide and is widely recognized as a solution partner in the mattress industry.

Before establishing Mattress Production, Recep Kütüklü dedicated many years to the field of spring production technology within the mattress industry. He has consistently pushed the boundaries of spring technology, leading to the successful completion of state-of-the-art factory projects for Europe's largest mattress manufacturers. His hands-on experience has provided him with insights into production technologies and raw materials utilized in the mattress industry worldwide. Born in Germany, Recep holds a degree in mechanical engineering from Universitat Duisburg-Essen. Armed with his expertise, he aims to redefine the supply chain of mattress manufacturers, unlocking new possibilities and applications that can revolutionize the industry. By introducing innovative approaches, Recep Kütüklü seeks to address the existing challenges, improve efficiency, and elevate the overall quality and performance of mattress manufacturer.

Julien Heusser

Julien Heusser graduated as a chemical engineer in 2008. His longstanding experience in the construction sector and the automotive industry, as well as in the foam converting industry, have made him a renowned expert in researching and developing sustainable adhesive technologies. Julien Heusser has been Head of R&D at ALFA Klebstoffe AG since 2018. He is pursuing his goal of developing sustainable adhesives together with his team, researching innovative adhesive technologies and highlighting new trends and solutions as a speaker at sector events.

Pamela Lilburne Opie

Serial Entrepreneur Pamela Lilburne Opie is Passionate about sleep.
With twenty-five years’ experience in home textiles and brand management, Opie is passionate about quality bedding and innovative sleep products. She has worked with Australia’s largest textile manufacturing group for more than 10 years, as well as with Sheridan Australia and Managed Esprit Homewares for the Middle East.
In 2008 Opie moved to Dubai to start her own home textiles business, representing quality British and European brands. This company is now called Linen Obsession and is the exclusive distributor of fourteen quality linen brands including Velfont from Spain, Christy England, Ted Baker, Harlequin, Sanderson, Donna Karan, Morris & Co, Kauffmann Sanders of Germany, and Bedeck of Belfast.

Ali holds a BSc degree in Economics , MSc in Business Studies and has a PhD degree in Clinical Psychology. Carlos Font

Carlos has a degree in Business Administration from the University of Barcelona, with exchange programmes in the USA (University of North Manchester) and Belgium (Université Catholique de Louvain-la-Neuve). He has been working in International Development and Sales for more than 14 years. For the last 11 years, he has been in VELFONT/VELAMEN, which is the family business, where he is the 3rd generation of the company and the 6th generation of the textile business. The first 2 years he is living in France and based on the Velfont development in French-talking countries (France, Belgium, Switzerland, Morocco, Algeria,...). After that, he has been leading and developing the export department and the international development of Velfont.

Hassen Kedir Tukura

Hassen Kedir Tukura is working with Momentive performance Materials as an Application Development Engineer . Graduated in Chemical Engineering from Addis Ababa University in 2005. He has been working with multiple foam and mattress companies in Ethiopia, Uganda, Kenya and UAE before joining Momentive. He has hands on experience in production of conventional, HR and Visco foam for various application. He participated during the selection and installation of several foam production machineries and this gave an edge in trouble shootings from mechanical perspective to fix problems in house. As a key technical requirement in the industry he is being able to make formulations as per market/customer demand and constantly support for the innovative and sustainable products development.

Prathish H represents Momentive Performance Materials as the Lead Application Development Engineer – IMEA. Graduated with M. Tech in Polymer Science and Technology from India. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated exceptional hands on technical skills by taking advantage of his innate understanding of latest industry trends. With extensive expertise in flexible polyurethane foam spanning over 10 years, he has worked with multiple foam and mattress companies in India and is specialized in the production of conventional, HR and Visco foams.

Ben Cuthbert

Ben joined Leggett & Platt Springs UK as a project engineer in 2000. He ran the L&P Machine Products Croatia business, specialising in equipment for the mattress and automotive sectors, as General Manager for 10 years before becoming Branch Manager of L&P Springs Croatia in 2015. In 2019, Ben has transitioned to L&P International Bedding to oversee Marketing, Sales, and Product Development operations in Europe. Most recently Ben became Vice President Sales & Marketing which sees and expansion of Ben’s role to cover all internationally markets outside of North America.

Kumar Brijwani

Starting from October 2022, Kumar took on the role of Business Head for the Middle East and North Africa at Sheela Foam Ltd. One of his key achievements during this period was successfully conceptualizing and launching the company's renowned brand, Sleepwell, within the UAE market. Additionally, He played a pivotal role in establishing a registered office in Dubai. This strategic move not only provided access to the thriving UAE market but also served as a gateway for penetrating various other markets across the Middle East region.

Adrian Shaw

Adrian has been with the Easa Saleh Al Gurg Group for eleven years and currently manages the award-winning home-grown furniture store Chattels & More and quirky German interiors brand, KARE. He brings over 20 years of international experience in developing new and existing businesses, driving sales and profitability. In the early years, Adrian oversaw ID design operations throughout the UAE, including eight stores and over 200 staff, moving on to become the General Manager of Chattels & More and KARE.

Prior to joining Easa Saleh Al Gurg group, Adrian was Retail Manager at Al Tayer Insignia, where he focused on implementing and maintaining efficient service levels and expediting stock availability from warehouse to showroom – maximizing sales opportunities. He would subsequently be appointed as Acting General Manager, achieving year-on-year sales growth of 58 percent, improving customer service levels to the highest in the group’s history. He also served as Chief Operating Office at Arte Casa Kuwait – a privately owned, high-quality ceramic and sanitary ware retailer. During his tenure, Adrian grew the business by 12 percent year-on-year (over AED 45.5 million), planned and resourced top-level management, identified new business and JV opportunities, and created a five-year strategy for the company to enter the Kuwait stock market. Other key career highlights include opening the first Jane Packer concept florist franchise in the GCC on time and within budget; consistently outperforming sales targets and achieving 35 percent year-on-year sales growth for MFI International Taiwan; and successfully transforming Al Tayer Insignia’s home division into a profitable concern.
